Sunday night, the Buffalo Sabres will face the Boston Bruins.

The Buffalo Sabres will have a quick turnaround in this one after having hosted the Colorado Avalanche at the First Niagara Center on Saturday night. After a slow start to the season, the Sabres have turned things around in recent weeks. They have found ways to win games on the strength of the offense and when goals were hard to come by, the defense led the way. Buffalo will have to manage their energy level as they play two games on the road back to back. If they come in flat, they will have a hard time avoiding their 3^rd loss of the year to Boston.

The Boston Bruins fell to the Winnipeg Jets 2 -1 on Friday night for their 4^th loss in 5 games. The Jets scored the only goal of the 1 ^st period but their 1 -0 lead only held until early in the 2^nd when Boston's Torey Krug tied things up with his 6^th goal of the season. As the period came to a close, the Jets retook the lead on a late goal. The 2 -1 score would stay that way through the rest of the game. The Bruins seem to be stuck at 2 goals or less in their last 5 games and without some defense, 2 goals are rarely enough to win with. But Boston has beaten Buffalo twice this season and the Sabres might be the cure for the Bruins slump.
