The Boston Bruins will go on the road on Friday to take on the Winnipeg Jets, who are 7-6-2 on their home ice this season. The Bruins and the Jets each came away with one win from their two-game regular season series last year.

The Bruins were able to snap their three-game losing streak when they defeated the Minnesota Wild 3-2 in overtime on Wednesday night. Backup netminder Niklas Svedberg had a great game in that win by stopping 35 of the 37 shots that came his way.

Through their first 32 games this season, the Bruins are scoring less than 2.5 goals per game and they are in the bottom 10 in the NHL in penalty kill percentage. Center Patrice Bergeron is the team's leader in points by notching six goals and a team-high 16 assists.

On Tuesday night, the Jets scored three second-period goals to help them blow out the Buffalo Sabres 5-1 on home ice. Center Mark Scheifele was the top star in that game by scoring two of the five goals while also finishing with one assist.

So far this season, the Jets have struggled to score the puck, but their defense has done well to hold their opponents to just 2.3 goals per game. Their leading scorer right now is center Bryan Little, who has 12 goals through 32 games. Goalie Ondrej Pavelec is 10-8-4 with one shutout and a solid 2.27 GAA.
