On Wednesday night, the Boston Bruins will go on the road to play the Toronto Maple Leafs, who have won two straight games. Late last month, the Bruins were able to defeat the Maple Leafs 4-1 on the road.

On Monday, the Bruins won their fifth game in a row by defeating the New Jersey Devils at home. Center Patrice Bergeron was the star of that game by notching one goal and two assists in the win.

The Bruins currently have the sixth-best power play in the NHL by scoring 23.8 percent of the time with the extra man. Center Carl Soderberg has had a strong start to the season by scoring five goals and assisting on eight others. Netminder Tuukka Rask has an 8-4-0 record with a 2.44 GAA and a .909 save percentage.

On Sunday, the Maple Leafs won their second consecutive game when they beat the Ottawa Senators 5-3 on the road. They were 1-for-4 on the power play in that win and they finished the game with 41 shots on goal.

The Maple Leafs are near the top of the league in scoring with 3.1 goals scored per game. Right wing Phil Kessel has been their top offensive threat through 15 games by accumulating eight goals and 11 assists. Goalie Jonathan Bernier has a 4-3-2 record with a .913 save percentage and a 2.75 GAA.
