The Boston Bruins will be going on the road to face the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday in a game between two of the top teams from the Atlantic Division.

In mid-October, the Canadiens were able to beat the Bruins 6-4 on their home ice. In that game, the Bruins outshot Montreal 29-26, but the Canadiens were able to go 2-for-3 on their power play opportunities.

Bruins center Carl Soderberg has faced the Canadiens five times in his career and has two goals and an assist, while veteran Patrice Bergeron has 43 points in his 52 games against them. Netminder Tuukka Rask has struggled in his 18 starts against Montreal, going 3-11-3 against them with a 2.80 GAA and a .902 save percentage.

The Canadiens were able to win their third game in a row on Tuesday when they shut out the Winnipeg Jets 3-0 at home. Goalie Carey Price was their best player in that win by stopping all 29 of the shots he faced, picking up his first shutout of the season.

Through their first 16 games, the Canadiens have one of the best penalty kill percentages in the NHL. Left wing Max Pacioretty has six goals and five assists on the season with a plus/minus of +8. All-Star defenseman P.K. Subban has three goals and nine points. Price is now 9-3-1 with a 2.56 GAA and a .918 save percentage.
