The Boston Bruins had a great bounce-back game on Sunday as they were able to beat the Detroit Red Wings 4-1 to tie their series at 1-1. Detroit led in the shots on goal department 35-29 in the game, but Boston was able to score on two of their four power plays while the Red Wings couldn't convert any of their power play opportunities.

Boston got two goals in the first period through an unassisted tally from Justin Florek seven minutes into the game and a power-play goal from Reilly Smith three minutes later. Detroit's Luke Glendening got one back for his team at the 13:20 mark of the second period, but Milan Lucic restored Boston's two-goal lead with less than two minutes remaining in the period. Zdeno Chara put the game away for the Bruins with a power-play goal early in the third period.

The Bruins played well offensively in the game, but their best player on the night was Tuukka Rask, who was able to stop 34 of the Red Wings' 35 shots for a .971 save percentage. Right wing Jarome Iginla and defenseman Torey Krug each had two assists in the game for the hosts.

Detroit goalie Jimmy Howard didn't play as well as he normally does for the Red Wings, stopping just 25 of Boston's 29 shots in the game for a low .862 save percentage.
