The Boston Bruins will be going for their third straight win when they face off against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday night. In late November, the Bruins were able to beat the Blue Jackets 4-3 in the shootout.

The Bruins have now won three out of their last four games after defeating the Nashville Predators 5-3 on Tuesday night. They tied Nashville with 25 shots on goal in that game, but they had a dominant 40-24 advantage at the faceoff dot.

So far this year, the Bruins are near the bottom of the Eastern Conference in scoring with just 2.5 goals per game. Center Patrice Bergeron has been their top all-around offensive player this season by scoring six goals and providing an assist on 20 others.

On Monday night, the Blue Jackets gave up three third-period goals to the Nashville Predators and were blown out 5-1 at home. They did outhit the Preds 39-19 in that loss, but they were also outshot 35-31.

The Blue Jackets have struggled in most areas of their game this year, but they have been able to score on 23.5 percent of their power plays. Goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky has won 13 of his 24 starts this season and has one shutout, a 2.69 GAA and a .919 save percentage. Left wing Nick Foligno has a team-high 16 goals and is tied for the team lead in points with 30.
