Sunday night, the Arizona Coyotes will travel to the Verizon Center to face the Washington Capitals.

The Arizona Coyotes will enter the Verizon Center after having played the Carolina Hurricanes in Raleigh, North Carolina on Saturday night.  The weather on the East Coast will definitely slow down the Coyotes’ trip to Washington and add some discomfort to an already tiring trip.  Arizona’s play this season hasn’t been anything to rave about and back to back road games won’t do much to improve the quality of their play.  But Arizona will be facing a Washington Capitals team in the same position as them.  Washington is not playing at their fullest potential and they will also come in after a Saturday night game.  

The Washington Capitals will be at home Sunday night but they will have to travel from Tampa Bay, Florida where they will be playing the Lightning on Saturday night.  After playing a tough team like the Lightning and then getting on a plane to go home, the Capitals will more than likely have some heavy, tired legs when they take the ice Sunday night.  The will have to hope that the Coyotes will be just as tired as they are.  If that is the case, the game could become a battle of attrition. It will be to benefit of both teams to try to take control early.  The first team to take a significant advantage could end up being the team with a win at the end of the night.
