On Monday night, the Arizona Coyotes will be taking on the Vancouver Canucks in a game between two teams that give up about three goals per game. Earlier this season, the Coyotes were able to blow out the Canucks 5-0 in Vancouver.

The Coyotes have now lost six out of their last seven games after the Los Angeles Kings beat them 4-2 on the road on Saturday night. They were 0-for-3 on the power play in that loss and only ended up with a total of 17 shots on goal.

So far this season, the Coyotes have given up over 3.2 goals per game, which makes them one of the worst defensive teams in the NHL. Goalie Mike Smith has a 5-14-2 record this year with a .889 save percentage and a 3.35 GAA. Defenseman Keith Yandle leads the team in assists right now with 18, while left wing Mikkel Boedker leads them in goals with nine.

On Saturday night, the Canucks were able to snap their five-game losing streak when they defeated the Calgary Flames 3-2 in overtime. They scored on one of their four power plays in that win and ended up with a 32-28 shooting advantage.

Through 32 games, the Canucks are in the top half of the league in both scoring and penalty kill percentage. Goalie Ryan Miller has won 17 of his 24 starts this season with three shutouts, a 2.65 GAA and a .901 save percentage.
