On Saturday, the Arizona Coyotes will be visiting the San Jose Sharks, who have had a lot more success on the road than at home this season. The Sharks were able to win three out of their four games against the Coyotes last season.

On Thursday night, the Coyotes lost their second game in a row when they were beaten 3-1 by the Dallas Stars on the road. Everything broke own for them in the third period in that loss, as they gave up all three goals in that period alone.

The Coyotes are currently in the bottom 10 in the league in both goals scored and goals against. One player who has played well is defenseman Keith Yandle, who has two goals and 12 assists through 20 games. Goalie Mike Smith has struggled in his 15 starts, going 4-10-1 with a 3.30 GAA and an .890 save percentage.

On Thursday night, the Sharks scored a late third period goal against the Florida Panthers to send the game into overtime, but they only got one point out of the game after losing 3-2 in the shootout. Goalie Antti Niemi was solid in the losing effort by stopping 26 out of the 28 shots he faced.

The Sharks are in the top 10 in the league in power play percentage by scoring on over 23 percent of their chances with the extra man. 35-year-old center Joe Thornton has seven goals and currently leads the team in points with 20.
