The Arizona Coyotes will go on the road on Wednesday night to face the Dallas Stars in a game between two of the worst defenses in the league. The Stars have been able to win their first two games against the Coyotes this season.

On Monday night, the Coyotes scored two third-period goals to help them pull off a 4-2 home win over the Philadelphia Flyers. Goalie Devan Dubnyk was solid in that win, stopping 30 of the 32 shots that came his way.

The Coyotes are starting to play better offensively, but for the season they are scoring less than 2.5 goals per game. Center Antoine Vermette currently leads the team in points with 25 by notching 10 goals and 15 assists.

The Stars have now won six out of their last seven games after defeating the New York Rangers 3-2 at home on Monday night. They were 1-for-4 on the power play in that win and ended up with a 36-30 faceoff advantage.

The Stars have struggled in most areas this season, but their offense has been able to keep them in most games by averaging right around three goals per game. Center Tyler Seguin is an early-season MVP favorite by scoring 25 goals and accumulating 43 points in just 35 games. Goalie Kari Lehtonen is now 15-8-5 with two shutouts and a 2.96 GAA.
