On Sunday night, the Arizona Coyotes will be playing their third and final game of their three-game road trip when they go up against the Anaheim Ducks.

Earlier this month, the Coyotes were able to beat the Ducks 3-2 in the shootout in the first of five meetings between these two teams. Anaheim lost that game despite having a huge 39-25 shooting advantage over Arizona.

Coyotes center Antoine Vermette has been able to notch seven goals and 12 assists in 27 games against the Ducks, while right wing Mikkel Boedker has eight points in 25 games against them. Netminder Mike Smith is 9-5-2 in 18 starts against Arizona in his career with a .903 save percentage and a 2.81 GAA.

The Ducks scored late in the third period in their game against the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday night, then went on to win 4-3 in the shootout. They won that game despite going 0-for-3 on the power play and being outshot 28-26.

So far this season, the Ducks have only been able to score 2.6 goals per game, but they are also limiting their opponents to 2.4 goals per game. Their best offensive contributor has been center Ryan Getzlaf, who has six goals and 13 assists in 20 games. Netminder Frederik Andersen is now 8-2-4 with one shutout, a .918 save percentage and a 2.18 GAA.
