The Anaheim Ducks, who are 7-2-2 away from home this season, will be going up against the San Jose Sharks on Saturday night.

In late-October, the Sharks pulled off a 4-1 road win over the Ducks in the first of five games between these two teams. The Sharks scored on two of their five power play chances and finished with a 37-34 shots-on-goal advantage.

Ducks goaltender Frederik Andersen has not enjoyed his three games against the Sharks, going 0-3-0 with a 3.37 GAA and an .886 save percentage. Center Ryan Getzlaf has racked up 44 points in 54 games against San Jose in his career, while right wing Corey Perry has 21 goals and 19 assists against them in 53 career games.

On Wednesday night, the Sharks lost their fourth game in a row when the Calgary Flames shut them out 2-0 in San Jose. They did have a 32-19 shooting advantage in that loss, but they also allowed the Flames to score on one of their two power play opportunities.

So far this year, the Sharks have only been able to average 2.5 goals per game, but their power play has been able to score on 22.7 percent of their chances with the extra man. Their most consistent offensive player has been veteran Joe Thornton, who has seven goals and 13 assists through 24 games this season.
