On Friday night, the Anaheim Ducks will be going on the road to take on the Minnesota Wild in a game that will feature two of the best penalty kills in the NHL. Earlier this season, the Ducks were able to beat the Wild 2-1 at home.

The Ducks won their second consecutive game on Wednesday night when the beat the Philadelphia Flyers 5-4 in the shootout. They were outshot 35-33 in that game, but they finished with a 36-30 advantage at the faceoff dot.

Through 27 games, the Ducks have scored 2.7 goals per game while allowing their opponents to score 2.6 goals per game. Left wing Matt Beleskey has had a pretty good start to the year notching 12 goals and two assists. Netminder Frederik Andersen has a 12-4-4 record this season with a 2.43 GAA and a .915 save percentage.

The Wild's two early goals against the Montreal Canadiens on Wednesday were enough for them to go on and win 2-1 at home. They were 0-for-5 on the power play in that game, but their defense was excellent by holding Montreal to just 19 shots on goal.

Minnesota's defense and goaltending has been solid this season, holding their opponents to just 2.3 goals per game. Left Wing Zach Parise currently leads the team with nine goals and 19 points in just 19 games played this season.
