The Anaheim Ducks beat the Los Angeles Kings 3-2 in Game 3 on Thursday night to make it 2-1 Kings in their series. The Kings had a 31-22 shots on goal advantage and a 55-35 hit advantage in the game, but the Ducks were able to convert both of their power play opportunities into goals to help them get the win.

Four minutes into the first period, Corey Perry scored his third goal of the playoffs on a power-play tally to give the Ducks a 1-0 advantage. Jeff Carter scored a power-play goal of his own for the Kings five minutes into the second to tie it up, but Teemu Selanne put Anaheim back on top at the 15:10 mark on yet another goal with the extra man.

In the third period, the Kings had a few chances to tie the game, but it was Ben Lovejoy who would score with less than three minutes to go to give the Ducks a 3-1 lead. Mike Richards scored for Los Angeles with 31 seconds remaining in the game, but Anaheim was able to hold on for the one-goal win.

Rookie netminder Frederik Andersen had 22 saves and a .957 save percentage for the Ducks, but he had to leave the game midway through the third period with a leg injury. Jonas Hiller finished off the game and made seven saves.

Jonathan Quick had his worst game of the series by only stopping 19 of the Ducks' 22 shots.
