Saturday afternoon, the Anaheim Ducks will make a stop in the City of Angels as they take on the Los Angeles Kings to complete a home and home series.

The Anaheim Ducks used a late rally on Wednesday night to beat the Kings 6 -5 in a shootout.  The Kings opened the game with 2 goals to go up 2 – 0 after the 1st period. In the 2nd, Anaheim cut the lead to one and after the Kings regained the 2 goal advantage, Anaheim got it back to one before the end of the period.  The 3rd period saw a flurry of scoring with both teams hitting the back of the net frequently. Anaheim put up the last 2 goals to send the game to overtime.  But the game was still tight in overtime and it would take a shootout to determine a winner.  Anaheim finally got ahead in the shootout and came away with the win.  With the Kings slumping, the Ducks might have a shot at another win over Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Kings got their 2nd straight loss in a row after losing to the Dallas Stars 2 - 0 on Thursday night.  The defending Stanley Cup champs didn’t look impressive against the Stars. The Kings went 0 for 3 on the power play and they will need to find a way to score when they have the man advantage if they want to get their winning ways back. Anaheim has showed that they can beat the Kings and Los Angeles will try to stop them from doing it again.
