After strong play recently Anaheim finds themselves with a legitimate late-season shot at the top overall seed in the NHL Playoffs and the first President's Trophy in franchise history. To keep up with Boston and St. Louis the Ducks must beat Edmonton for the second time in four days after Wednesday's 3-2 win at the Honda Center. The Oilers are the last place team in the Western Conference and have played like it as of late.

From March 14th to April 2nd the Ducks won 7 of 10 games to reinvigorate their chances at home ice throughout the playoffs. Granted those were wins the Ducks were supposed to have as oddsmakers had them favored in 8 of the 10 but Anaheim came through nonetheless. The Ducks go on the road Sunday hoping to build on a positive 23-11-4 record away from their home ice.

The Edmonton Oilers only have four more times to suffer as their 2013/14 season wraps up. Sunday's meeting with Anaheim will be their third in 2 weeks with the Oilers losing 2-3 on April 2nd but actually getting a win on March 28th, 4-3. The victory over the Ducks was only their 3rd in 10 games from March 14th to April 2nd but it proved that Edmonton still has a little fight in them as this disappointing year winds down.

Anaheim is 3-1 against Edmonton this season winning games as -280, -213, and -278 favorites. It's interesting to note that the March 28th loss came as the Ducks were only getting a line of -175 with the Oilers cashing in at +161.
