Friday night, the Anaheim Ducks will visit the Dallas Stars.

The Anaheim Ducks will come into the American Airlines Arena fresh off a Thursday night game against the St. Louis Blues in St. Louis.  The Ducks have been one of the NHL’s best teams in recent weeks and if there is anything that could slow them down, it could be back to back road games.   Anaheim won’t be the first team to encounter back to back road games and fatigue will certainly be an issue by the time they roll into Dallas for Friday’s game.  If there is one thing that could help Anaheim out, it is the fact that they are playing some of their best hockey on the road.  And the Ducks will need their best game against a Dallas team that could pull the upset.

The Dallas Stars lost a heartbreaker to the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday night.  After battling back and forth, the Stars fell 4 – 3 in overtime.   Dallas opened the scoring with a Jamie Oleksiak goal at 13:10 in the 1st period.  But St. Louis answered 35 seconds later.  The game was just as tight in the 2nd as the teams scored less than a minute apart to make it a 2 -2 game entering the 3rd.  Dallas took the lead once again early in the 3rd but St. Louis tied it up late to send the game to OT.  And St. Louis got the game winner at 1:28 in the extra period.  If the Stars put up another solid effort on Friday, they could steal one from the Ducks.
