The Anaheim Ducks will go on the road on Tuesday night to face the Calgary Flames, who have won two games in a row. During the 2013-14 season, the Ducks were able to win three out of their four games against the Flames.
Against the Florida Panthers on Sunday night, the Ducks gave up four goals in the third period and ended up losing 6-2 at home. Goalie Frederik Andersen had a very bad game, giving up four of the goals on just 15 shots faced.
The Ducks have done pretty well on defense this season by giving up just 2.3 goals per game. Center Ryan Getzlaf has had a pretty good start to the year by notching five goals and 12 assists in 18 games. Andersen is now 7-2-3 on the year with a .924 save percentage and a 2.08 GAA.
This past Saturday, the Flames were able to score three goals in the third period of their game against the Ottawa Senators to pick up a 4-2 home win. Their penalty kill was excellent in that win by keeping the Senators scoreless on their six chances with the extra man.
The Flames have scored 3.1 goals per game this season while giving up 2.6 goals per game to their opponents. Defenseman Mark Giordano has had an excellent start to the year by notching six goals and 15 assists in 19 games. Veteran netminder Jonas Hiller is now 8-4-1 with a shutout, 2.30 GAA and a .922 save percentage.
