2015 Tennessee Titans Opponents and Schedule Highlights
by Josh Schonwald - 2/15/2015
In 2014, the Tennessee Titans had their worst season in franchise history and missed the playoffs for the sixth consecutive season. As would be expected from a team with a 2-14 record, the Titans were poor in just about every area of their team. Their one bright spot was tight end Delanie Walker, who led the team in receptions and receiving yards.
The Titans have one of the easiest schedules in the league on paper, but a lot of things are going to have to go right if they want to sniff .500.
Home : Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, Oakland Raiders, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers
Away : Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, New England Patriots, New York Jets, Cleveland Browns, New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Here are three of the matchups to keep an eye on:
Jacksonville Jaguars : It may not seem like this would be a series to watch considering that these are the two bottom teams from the AFC South, but that is part of what does make it worth watching. Both teams want to rise in the division and they both had horrible defenses last year, which could make this a tight, high-scoring affair.
Atlanta Falcons: The reason why this game is so intriguing is because these were two of the worst defensive teams in the NFL last year. That often leads to some high scoring games, which should make this a matchup to watch. It is also a home game for the Titans and a borderline must-win if they want to move up in the standings.
Cleveland Browns: We usually see a lot of effort in games between two teams that finished last in their respective divisions in the previous season. That's one reason why this should be a good matchup. The other is that the Titans will be wanting to get revenge after giving up a 25-point lead to the Browns last year in what ended up being a 29-28 loss.
