2015 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Opponents and Schedule Highlights
by Tony Sink - 2/17/2015
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had their worst season in nearly 30 years in 2014 by winning just two games. They had five and six-game losing streaks during the season, and they were unable to win a single home game. One of the few bright spots on the team was rookie wide receiver Mike Evans, who had 1,051 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns.
The Buccaneers aren't expected to be much better in 2015, but they could pick up a few more wins thanks to having a pretty easy schedule.
Home: Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Saints, Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Chicago Bears, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans
Away: Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Saints, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins, St. Louis Rams, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts
Here are three of the matchups to keep an eye on:
Atlanta Falcons: Historically, this has been a close series, but the Falcons were able to sweep the Bucs with two blowouts in 2014. Tampa Bay's goal is probably to move out of the bottom spot in the NFC North, and the Falcons come into the season as the third-best team in the division.
Jacksonville Jaguars: When you're coming off of a bad season and aren't expected to make major leaps, one of the biggest goals is beating the other bottom teams. If the Bucs want to move up in the standings, they simply have to beat the Jaguars at home. Both teams want to prove that they have made positive strides, so that fact may make this a game to watch.
Tennessee Titans: This is similar to the Jaguars matchup. They want to beat the lesser teams, and the Titans certainly fit that description. Both teams gave up a lot of yards and points last season, so this could end up being a high-scoring affair.
