2015 St. Louis Rams Opponents and Schedule Highlights
by Guy Bruhn - 2/13/2015
Quarterback Sam Bradford going down again kept the St. Louis Rams from seeing just how good they could be in 2014, but they certainly showed some signs of improvement. Coach Jeff Fisher helped their defense get a lot better, and a bunch of their losses could have gone either way.
If the Rams want to move up in the NFC West, they will have to get more from their offense and pick up some upsets from their very tough schedule.
Home: Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers
Away: Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Washington Redskins, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals
Here are three of the matchups to keep an eye on:
Seattle Seahawks: People may assume that the Seahawks will blow the Rams out, but St. Louis has proven in recent years that they can handle the two-time defending NFC champs. They beat the Seahawks 28-26 at home early in the 2014 season, then lost 20-6 in Seattle later in the year.
San Francisco 49ers: What's interesting about this series is that the Rams have done very well against the 49ers on the road over the years. The 49ers have a 51-46-2 advantage overall in the series, but the Rams have gone 25-23-2 in San Francisco.
Green Bay Packers: The Packers are probably the Rams' toughest non-divisional opponent in 2015, so a win in Green Bay would do a lot for their chances of making the playoffs. The Packers also have one of the better offenses in the league, which will give the Rams a chance to see just how good their defense really is. They may not have as much talent as the Packers, but a good defensive performance could help them pull off an upset.
