2015 Oakland Raiders Opponents and Schedule Highlights
by Tony Sink - 2/15/2015
The Oakland Raiders have a total of just 11 combined wins over the last three seasons after going 3-13 in 2014. They were in the bottom 10 in passing yards, rushing yards and opposing rushing yards, which tells you all you need to know about why they had such a poor record. The one thing they can be pleased about is their pass defense, which got a little bit better.
The Raiders have the seventh-toughest strength of schedule going into the 2015 season, which makes their chances of moving up in the AFC West that much lower.
Home: Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs, San Diego Chargers, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, New York Jets, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings
Away : Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs, San Diego Chargers, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, Tennessee Titans, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions
Here are three of the matchups to keep an eye on:
Kansas City Chiefs : The Raiders were able to pick up one of their three wins against the Chiefs last year, and they will want to get at least one against them again this year if they want to get closer to the .500 mark. Neither team has a very strong offense, so both games could be tight battles.
New York Jets: If the Raiders lose their home game against the Jets, who were just as bad as them last year, then they could be looking at another disastrous season. The Jets have won their last two games against Oakland, but the Raiders have a 19-12-1 overall record against them.
Denver Broncos: No one will be expecting the Raiders to win either one of these games, but if they can at least split the series, they could garner some amount of respect throughout the league. They've lost six straight games against the Broncos, though, so their chances of pulling off an upset are quite low.
