2015 Miami Dolphins Opponents and Schedule Highlights
by Guy Bruhn - 2/16/2015
Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill showed a better understanding of the offense in 2014 and may be behind center there for a while, but they still had pass protection issues, which was one of the main reasons why they finished 8-8 again. They were third in the AFC East and have now missed the playoffs for six consecutive seasons.
If the Dolphins' offense can continue to improve, they have a real shot of ending their postseason drought in 2015.
Home: Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots, New York Jets, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Baltimore Ravens, Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants
Away: Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots, New York Jets, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, San Diego Chargers, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins
Here are three of the matchups to keep an eye on:
New England Patriots: This has been an interesting matchup the last couple of years because you simply never know what is going to happen when the Patriots and Dolphins take the field against each other. Miami opened up their season with a 33-20 win over the Pats in 2014, but they were then blown out later in the year. The Dolphins will be hoping for at least a split again this season.
Indianapolis Colts: The Dolphins used to dominate the Colts, but that's just not the case anymore. Indianapolis has won four of the last five meetings and now have one of the best offenses in the NFL. If the Dolphins want to reach the postseason, a win over the Colts at home would certainly improve their chances.
Buffalo Bills: The New York Jets will probably stay in the basement of the AFC East this season, so the Dolphins' other main divisional competition is Buffalo. Both teams seem to be on the up-and-up, which should make this a very good series.
