2015 Kansas City Chiefs Opponents and Schedule Highlights
by Josh Schonwald - 2/14/2015
Let’s take a look at the Kansas City Chiefs 2015 opponents and schedule highlights. The NFL will release schedule dates and games times later in April, but we do know who the Chiefs will have to play.
The Kansas City Chiefs had some big wins last season, including victories over both the Seattle Seahawks and the Patriots, but they were unable to make the playoffs. Their struggles mostly came near the end of the year when they had a hard time scoring and lost four of their final five games.
Home: Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders, San Diego Chargers, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, Buffalo Bills, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions
Away: Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders, San Diego Chargers, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Houston Texans, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings
If Jamaal Charles and the Chiefs are going to get back to the postseason in 2015, they will have to overcome a very difficult schedule. Here are three of the matchups to keep an eye on:
Denver Broncos: The Chiefs should be able to handle the San Diego Chargers and the Oakland Raiders in their division, so taking at least one game from the Broncos this year could help immensely in their hunt for playoff football. They have struggled mightily against Denver in recent seasons, losing six straight dating back to 2012.
Baltimore Ravens: The Ravens are one of many tough road games that the Chiefs have this year. The reason why this is an especially tricky matchup for them is because the Ravens are known for handling opposing running games. Chances are the Chiefs will have to play an excellent defensive game to be able to pull off the win against Baltimore.
Green Bay Packers: In 10 matchups between these two teams, the Chiefs have been able to win seven, including all three in Green Bay. They haven't played each other in four years, though, and they haven't played in Green Bay since back in 2003. This is perhaps the most talented team that the Chiefs will play this season.
