2015 Dallas Cowboys Opponents and Schedule Highlights
by Tony Sink - 2/14/2015
Let’s take a look at the Dallas Cowboys 2015 opponents and schedule highlights. The NFL will release schedule dates and games times later in April, but we do know who the Cowboys will have to play.
The Dallas Cowboys used two long winning streaks in 2014 to help them end their four-year playoff drought. Running back DeMarco Murray led the way with one of the best single-season performances in NFL history, and their defense was one of the best in the league against the run. They were edged 26-21 by the Green Bay Packers in the Divisional round of the playoffs, but they should feel happy with their overall performance last year.
Home: New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, Seattle Seahawks, New England Patriots, New York Jets
Away: New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins, New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Green Bay Packers, Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins
The Cowboys' 2015 opponents were just 119-136-1 last year, so they do have a pretty good chance of going back to the playoffs. Here are three of the matchups to keep an eye on:
Philadelphia Eagles: This is Dallas' top competition in the NFC East, so the series will help or hurt their chances of retaining their division crown. The Cowboys have dominated the Eagles over the years, but both teams have won four games against the other since 2011.
Green Bay Packers: This is the Cowboys' top road opponent in 2015, and it is also a chance for Dallas to get revenge on the team that knocked them out of the playoffs last year. These are two of the best teams in the NFC, so it is certainly a game that most football fans will be paying attention to.
New England Patriots: After winning their first seven games against the Patriots, the Cowboys have now lost four straight against the defending Super Bowl champs. They only play each other once every four years, which is a shame considering how great it is to see two solid offenses go head-to-head.
