2015 Cleveland Browns Opponents and Schedule Highlights
by Josh Schonwald - 2/14/2015
Let’s take a look at the Cleveland Browns 2015 opponents and schedule highlights. The NFL will release schedule dates and games times later in April, but we do know who the Browns will have to play.
The Cleveland Browns had their best season since 2007 last year, but they still ended up at the bottom of the tough AFC North. They were right in the thick of the wild card race for the majority of the season, but they lost their last five games and finished with a 7-9 record. Injuries were a big part of their downfall, so there is reason for optimism in Cleveland going forward.
Home: Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Pittsburgh Steelers, Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders, Tennessee Titans, Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers
Away: Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Pittsburgh Steelers, Kansas City Chiefs, San Diego Chargers, New York Jets, St. Louis Rams, Seattle Seahawks
The Browns obviously have to contend with three good teams in their division, but they also have a pretty brutal schedule outside of those AFC North teams. Here are three of the matchups to keep an eye on:
Pittsburgh Steelers: The Steelers are the current kings of the division, so the Browns will want to pick up at least one win from this series. They barely lost in Pittsburgh last year and came away with a dominant 31-10 win at home, so they will certainly come into those games with added confidence in 2015.
Seattle Seahawks: The Browns have a two-game winning streak going against the Seahawks, but they haven't faced them since 2011. This will probably be their toughest road test of the season seeing as they struggle against the run and Seattle has the top rushing team in the league.
Denver Broncos: One of the things that the Browns have not been able to do in recent years is win their home games against tough opposition. Coming away with an upset of the Broncos would do a lot for their chances of reaching the postseason for the first time in over a decade.
