2015 Chicago Bears Opponents and Schedule Highlights
by Josh Schonwald - 2/12/2015
Let’s take a look at the Chicago Bears 2015 opponents and schedule highlights. The NFL will release schedule dates and games times later in April, but we do know who the Bears will have to play.
New head coach John Fox has a tough mission on his hands as he attempts to bring the Chicago Bears out of the NFC North cellar. They only ended up winning two of their eight home games in 2014, and finished just 1-5 in the division. Running back Matt Forte was one of just a few bright spots on the team, while their defense was in the bottom five in most categories.
Home: Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, Washington Redskins, Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders
Away: Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, St. Louis Rams, Seattle Seahawks, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Kansas City Chiefs, San Diego Chargers
The Bears are in the middle of the pack as far as strength of schedule goes this season, but have a number of key games to look forward to. Here are three of the matchups to keep an eye on:
Green Bay Packers: Like every other team in the NFC North, the Bears will have to come up with a way to stop the Packers if they want a shot at winning the division. The Packers were 8-0 at home in 2014, so Chicago will need to figure out a near-perfect game plan in order to win that matchup.
Seattle Seahawks: The Bears are just 2-4 against the Seahawks since 2007, but that record could be a lot worse had they had them on their schedule the last two seasons. Seattle is once again one of the Super Bowl favorites, so the Bears will have to pull out their whole bag of tricks to be able to pick up the win.
Denver Broncos: The Bears have to face the Broncos on the road this season, which no one in the league wants to do. Denver was 8-0 on their home turf last year and the Bears' shaky pass defense will have to deal with one of the top passing teams in the league.
