2015 Baltimore Ravens Opponents and Schedule Highlights
by Tony Sink - 2/18/2015
Joe Flacco and the Baltimore Ravens offense improved in 2014, which helped them go 10-6 during the regular season and reach the divisional round of the playoffs, where they lost 35-31 to the New England Patriots. Their defense wasn't quite as good as it has been in the past, but they still had one of the top all-around teams in the league.
The Ravens face a lot of the best passing attacks this season, so if they can improve that area of their game, they should be able to handle their tough schedule.
Home: Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, Kansas City Chiefs, San Diego Chargers, Jacksonville Jaguars, St. Louis Rams, Seattle Seahawks
Away: Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders, Miami Dolphins, Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers
Here are three of the matchups to keep an eye on:
Pittsburgh Steelers: This has been the AFC North series to watch for a while now and is usually one of the most-watched series of the season. The Ravens were able to win two out of three games against the Steelers last season, including a 30-17 win in the Wild Card game in the Playoffs.
Cincinnati Bengals: The Bengals swept the Ravens for the first time since 2009 last year, resulting in both teams making the playoffs. Considering how tough Baltimore's schedule is this season, they will want to take at least one of these games this year. They both have good offenses, but the Ravens have the better defense.
San Francisco 49ers: This is a game to watch simply because they are two good teams that don't play each other very often. Their last matchup was in the Super Bowl two years ago, which the Ravens won 34-31. The 49ers will be looking to beat the Ravens for the first time since 1996.
