2015 Arizona Cardinals Opponents and Schedule Highlights
by Tony Sink - 2/12/2015
Let’s take a look at the Cardinals 2015 opponents and schedule highlights. The NFL will release schedule dates and games times later in April, but we do know who the Cardinals will have to play.
The Arizona Cardinals were an excellent 7-1 at home during the 2014 season and finished with an 11-5 overall record. They did so despite having one of the toughest schedules in the league, which is one of the main reasons why Bruce Arians won the Coach of the Year award.
Home: St. Louis Rams, San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, New Orleans Saints, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals
Away: St. Louis Rams, San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Philadelphia Eagles, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers
Going into the 2015 season, the Cardinals will once again have one of the more difficult schedules in the NFC. Here are three of the matchups to keep an eye on:
Seattle Seahawks: The Cardinals were able to make the playoffs last season despite losing twice to the Seahawks, including a 35-6 rout in Arizona. They won't have much of a chance of winning the NFC West unless they are able to beat their top divisional rival.
Philadelphia Eagles: The Eagles will be the Cardinals' lone NFC East opponent and perhaps their toughest non-divisional challenge away from home in 2015. Philadelphia is one of the top passing teams in the league, so Arizona will have to fix their secondary issues if they want a good shot at winning this game.
San Francisco 49ers: The Cardinals will not be expecting the talented 49ers to have another down season this year. They were able to beat them in one of their two matchups in 2014, but they are just 2-10 against them since 2009. If Arizona wants to go back to the playoffs this season, chances are they will need to win both of their games against the 49ers to stay ahead of them in the division.
