The Eagles had intentions of running away with the NFC East after week one played itself out this year. The Giants were in shambles on offense and defense and the Cowboys were turnover proned with an injury-riddled defense to boot. In a weird turn of events, the Redskins actually became bigger threats to Philadelphia's crown in week 2, when RGIII injured his ankle only to have QB Kirk Cousins come in to master Jay Gruden's offense to near perfection. We'll see if Cousins' play was a mirage and if the Redskins defense can keep up the same pressure they applied to Jacksonville, in a visit to Philadelphia.

The Redskins looked like one of the worst teams in the league after week one, losing an uninspired contest 17-6 in Houston despite outgaining the Texans 372-321. The loss really wasn't all on Griffin as he did throw 29/37 for 267 yards and 0 INT but the spark was noticeable when Kirk Cousins came in during the first quarter of week 2 and subsequently completed 12 passes in a row finishing with 250 yards and 2 TD. Cousins is guaranteed a Pro Bowl berth - if he were to play against the Jaguars each week and a lot of that has contributed to the one-game hype machine rolling. Either way, Washington is setting up something nice ranking in the top 4 in the NFL in rush yards, opponents passing yards, and opponents rushing yards.

The Eagles didn't have such an easy time against the Jaguars when they played them, letting Jacksonville roll out to a 17-0 lead before scoring all the points the rest of the game to complete the 34-17 comeback. It was a shining example of the Eagles ability to score quickly and efficiently as they also showed Monday night coming back from a 17-6 halftime deficit to topple Indianapolis. Philadelphia has the #2 rated passing attack after two weeks to go along with the #9 rushing force but the real story is a pass defense that's only allowing 207 YPG, down from 289 a year ago (last in NFL).

The high-powered Eagles offense should be able to take down their division rivals, especially in the comfort of Lincoln Financial. That being said, games like this are exactly how phenomenons like "Linsanity" or "Tebow Time" are born so could this be the beginning of "My Cousins Winny"?
