On Sunday afternoon, the Washington Redskins (3-5) will go on the road to take on the Minnesota Vikings (3-5). Both of their defenses are currently in the top 10 in the NFL against the pass.

On Monday night, the Redskins were able to pull off an upset by beating the Dallas Cowboys 20-17 in overtime. Third-string quarterback Colt McCoy was able to throw for 299 yards in that win and he ran for one touchdown.

The Redskins are currently seventh in the league with 391.9 yards per game, but they have only been able to score 21.4 points per game. Wide receiver DeSean Jackson has caught 39 passes and has a team-high 664 yards with three touchdowns. Linebacker Ryan Kerrigan has 35 tackles through eight games with 7.5 sacks and two forced fumbles.

The Vikings allowed the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to come back and force overtime in their game on Sunday, but they scored on a fumble return in the extra period and won 19-13. Minnesota's defense held Tampa Bay to just 66 rushing yards in that game and they forced two turnovers.

The Vikings have only been able to gain 312 total yards per game this season and they are scoring just 17.4 points per game. Rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater has completed 60 percent of his throws for 1,053 yards, two touchdowns and five interceptions. Running back Jerick McKinnon leads the team in rushing with 392 yards, but he has yet to score his first touchdown.
