Thursday night, the Tennessee Titans will travel to Everbank Field to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars in a battle of two 2 -12 teams.

The Tennessee Titans continued their slow march to the finish with a 16 - 11 loss to the equally bad New York Jets on Sunday.   It was the 8th straight loss for the Titans and a game that they could have very easily won.  Tennessee scored the only points of the 1st quarter on a Ryan Succop 40 yard field goal and they added a safety early in the 2nd quarter to go up 5 – 0.  The Jets closed out the 1st half with a field goal to make it a 5 – 3 game. The 2nd half was just as bad as the Titans could manage only 2 field goals as the Jets scored 2 touchdowns.  The most entertaining part of the game was a 3rd quarter brawl between the two teams.   At this point, the Titans really have nothing to gain by winning but they should put up a decent effort against the Jaguars.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are also limping to the finish but they almost pulled off a big upset in their last game. Although they lost 20 – 12 to the Baltimore Ravens, they had a chance to come away with a win.  After an opening touchdown by the Ravens, the Jags added 2 field goals to cut the lead to just 1 after the 1st quarter. They answered a 2nd quarter Baltimore field goal with 2 more of their own to go up 12 - 10 at the half. But in the 2nd half, the Raven defense finally clamped down on the Jags and the Baltimore offense added just enough to escape with a needed win.   Jacksonville will probably try to beat the Titans but this game could go either way since neither one of the teams can help themselves with a win.
