On Sunday afternoon, the St. Louis Rams (3-5) will try to come up with their second straight upset when they go up against the Arizona Cardinals (7-1). The Rams beat the Cardinals early last season, but Arizona got the last laugh by beating the Rams by 20 points later in the year.

Against the San Francisco 49ers last Sunday, the Rams had an excellent defensive game and finished with a 13-10 road win. They won that game despite only gaining 193 offensive yards and turning the ball over twice.

The Rams' defense has only given up 225.2 passing yards per game, but they are also giving up 27.5 points per game. Their top offensive player has been wide receiver Brian Quick, who has caught 25 passes for 375 yards and three touchdowns. Quarterback Austin Davis has completed 64.2 percent of his passes for 1,785 yards and 11 touchdowns.

The Cardinals were able to win their fourth game in a row last Sunday when they beat the Dallas Cowboys 28-17 on the road. Their defense was great in that win, holding the Cowboys' offense to just 266 total yards.

Through their first eight games, the Cardinals have been able to score 24 points per game while only giving up 19.5 points per game. Quarterback Carson Palmer has been great so far this season by throwing for 1,385 yards with 11 touchdowns and just two picks. Running back Andre Ellington has rushed for 559 yards with two touchdowns.
