Sunday afternoon, the Seattle Seahawks will take the field at Arrowhead Stadium to face the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Seattle Seahawks looked like the defending Super Bowl champions last week as they grinded out a 38 – 17 win over the New York Giants.  On a damp and dreary day at CenturyLink Field, the Seahawks took to the ground and simply ran over the Giants.  As a whole, the Seahawks had 350 yards on the ground (a franchise record) compared to the Giants’ 54 yards.  Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch had 140 yards on 21 carries and 4 rushing touchdowns.  Russell Wilson relied on his legs instead of his arm and ran for 107 yards.  The running game saved the Seahawks considering the fact that they turned the ball over 3 times and the Giants had no trouble moving the ball against the Seahawks defense.   Seattle will have to play better this time around because they won’t be able to get away with the same mistakes against Kansas City.

The Kansas City Chiefs shook off a slow start in their game against the Buffalo Bills and rallied to a 17 -13 victory.  The Chiefs offense couldn’t get anything going in the first 3 quarters of the game and only put up a 36 yard Cairo Santos field goal. The Bills’ 13 - 3 lead going into the 4th seemed secure.  But in the 4th quarter, the Chiefs had some breaks come their way and they took advantage.  In less than 5 minutes of game time, Kansas City got 2 touchdowns to pull ahead and that’s where they stayed. The Chiefs won’t be able to get a win on Sunday if they spot the Seahawks a 10 point lead.
