On Sunday night, the San Francisco 49ers (4-2) will try to win their fourth game in a row when they face the Denver Broncos (4-1).

On Monday night, the 49ers outscored the St. Louis Rams 21-3 in the second half of their game to pull off a 31-17 road win. They had 432 yards of offense in that win and their defense held the Rams to just 216 passing yards.

The 49ers' defense has carried the team through its first six games by giving up just 287.2 yards per game and 20.5 points per game. Quarterback Colin Kaepernick has thrown for 1,456 yards with 10 touchdowns and four interceptions, and he has also rushed for 242 yards. Wide receiver Michael Crabtree has caught 32 passes for 297 yards and one touchdown so far this year.

The Broncos were able to pick up their second win in a row on Sunday when they went on the road and beat the New York Jets 31-17. They only had 221 passing yards in that win, but they were able to hold the Jets to just 204 total yards.

The Broncos are currently fourth in the NFL with 297.8 passing yards per game and third in scoring with 29.4 points per game. Veteran quarterback Peyton Manning has a 110.5 passer rating by throwing for 1,530 yards, 15 touchdowns and only three interceptions. Wide receiver Julius Thomas has caught 24 passes for 277 yards and he is first in the NFL with nine touchdown grabs.
