The New York Jets (1-5) will have a hard time ending their five-game losing streak when they take on the New England Patriots (4-2) on Thursday night. The Patriots beat the Jets in two close games last season.

In their game against the Denver Broncos on Sunday, the Jets had a hard time moving the ball and ended up losing 31-17. They only had 204 total yards in that game, including just 31 rushing yards.

The Jets are last in the league in passing with 182.2 passing yards per game, and they are also 30th in scoring with just 16 points per game. Quarterback Geno Smith has only completed 57.1 percent of his passes this season for 1,139 yards, six touchdowns and seven interceptions. Safety Dawan Landry leads the Jets in tackles with 54 and he has 1.5 sacks this year.

The Patriots were able to win their second game in a row on Sunday afternoon when they beat the Bills 37-22 on the road. New England had 396 offensive yards in that win while their defense forced three Buffalo turnovers.

The Patriots have played well against the pass this season by only giving up 208.5 passing yards per game. Quarterback Tom Brady currently has a 95.1 passer rating by throwing for 1,444 yards with 10 touchdowns and just two interceptions. Tight end Rob Gronkowski has caught 26 passes for 341 yards and four touchdowns.
