Sunday afternoon, the New York Jets will travel to the TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis as they take on the Minnesota Vikings.

The New York Jets almost had their last game in the books as win but they allowed the Miami Dolphins to make a comeback on Monday night to deal the Jets a 16 - 13 loss.  The Jets managed to take a 7 point lead at the half and were up by 7 going into the 4th quarter.  But things unraveled for New York in the 4th quarter as they gave up 10 unanswered points.  The return of quarterback Geno Smith to the lineup made very little difference in the passing game as the Jets mostly ran the ball.  They will face a soft Vikings run defense and that might keep New York in the game. But the Vikings still have a slim, outside chance to get back into the playoff picture and they will look to shut down the New York running game.

The Minnesota Vikings had no trouble getting past the Carolina Panthers 31 – 13 last Sunday.  Minnesota scored early and often as they took a 28 – 6 lead at the half. They only needed to stay ahead of the Panthers in the 2nd half and that’s just what they did.  Going into the game, the Vikings will be on the outside looking in when it comes to the playoff picture but one never knows how things will turn out.  So it means that Minnesota needs to win their last 4 games and hope for the best.  They should have a great chance to at least get a win against the Jets.
