Sunday afternoon, the New York Giants will visit LP Field in Nashville as they face the Tennessee Titans.

The New York Giants have one of their worst seasons in recent memory this year and that was completely evident in their 25 -24 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars last week.  The Giants looked like they would encounter very little trouble from the Jags early on as they took a 21 -3 halftime lead. But maybe the Giants got too comfortable as they gave up that lead and allowed the Jags to score 22 points in the 2nd half to steal the win.  Completely out of the playoff picture, the Giants are now not only just playing for pride, they could also be playing for head coach Tom Coughlin’s job.            A little respectability and some job security for their coach could come as they take on a Tennessee team that actually has a worse record than the Giants.

The Tennessee Titans finished strong in their last game against the Houston Texans but they still fell 45 – 21 for their 6th straight loss.  Injuries and lackluster play have haunted the Titans this season and there was more of both in last week’s game.  Quarterback Zach Mettenberger injured his shoulder and had to be replaced by Jake Locker in the 3rd quarter.  But by then, the game was already over.  The Titans had surrendered 24 1st half points and although they scored 21 in the 2nd half, they also gave up 21. As the Titans close out what appears to be a lost season, they will try to finish the season strong as they face just one team with a winning record in their final 4 games.
