The New York Giants will play their final preseason game on Friday night when they take on the New York Jets in New Jersey.
The New York Giants were able to come back in their game against the Indianapolis Colts last week and finished with a 27-26 win. The Giants scored all 27 of their points in the fourth quarter in that game, including a Spencer Adkin fumble return.
Second-year quarterback Ryan Nassib was 11-for-15 for the Giants in the game for 158 yards and a touchdown. Rookie linebacker Devon Kennard had five tackles and a sack, while fellow linebacker Jacquian Williams led the team with nine tackles in the win.
The New York Jets were able to score the final nine points in their game against the Cincinnati Bengals last week and pulled off the 25-17 win to move to 2-0 this preseason. The Jets finished with 343 yards of offense in the game, including 169 rushing yards. Their defense also played well by forcing the Bengals into three turnovers.
Michael Vick continued to put pressure on Geno Smith for the Jets' starter quarterback job by completing five of his nine passed for 70 yards and a touchdown pass. Running back Chris Johnson rushed for 63 yards on 10 carries, while Bilal Powell and Geno Smith both had rushing touchdowns. Rookie safety Calvin Pryor had seven tackles in the game, including one for a loss.
