The New Orleans Saints (5-8) will try to keep their spot atop the NFC South when they visit the Chicago Bears (5-8) on Monday night. Last season, the Saints were able to defeat the Bears 26-18 on the road.

This past Sunday, the Saints were poor on both sides of the ball against the Carolina Panthers and ended up getting blown out 41-10 on their home field. Their defense allowed the Panthers to gain 497 total yards against them and they were unable to force any turnovers.

The Saints have played well on the offensive side of the ball this year, but their defense is allowing opponents to score 27.6 points per game against them. Veteran quarterback Drew Brees has a 98.8 passer rating on the year by throwing for 3,983 yards with 28 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. Tight end Jimmy Graham has caught 68 of Brees' passes for 695 yards and nine scores.

Last Thursday, the Bears lost their second game in a row when the Dallas Cowboys came into town and defeated them 41-28. They had two turnovers in that loss and they ended up being outgained 397-376.

The Bears currently have the worst defense in the NFL by giving up 29.1 points per game to opposing offenses. Quarterback Jay Cutler has had a pretty good season by throwing for 3,446 yards with 26 touchdown passes, but he has also thrown 15 interceptions.
