The Minnesota Vikings (6-7) will try to win their third game in a row when they visit the Detroit Lions (9-4) on Sunday afternoon. During Week 6, the Lions were able to beat the Vikings 17-3 in Detroit.

In their last game, the Vikings scored on a long touchdown pass in overtime to defeat the New York Jets 30-24 at home. They ended up with 411 yards of offense in that win, and they converted on six of their 12 third down opportunities.

The Vikings have struggled to get into the end zone this season, averaging just 20.2 points per game against their opponents. Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater has completed 61.9 percent of his passes this season for 2,136 yards, 10 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Veteran wide receiver Greg Jennings has 50 receptions for 598 yards and four scores.

The Lions won their second straight game this past Sunday by defeating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 34-17 at home. They had 294 passing yards in that game while their defense was able to hold the Bucs to just 233 total yards.

Through their first 13 games of the year, the Lions have the best defense in the league by giving up just 17.2 points per game. Veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford currently owns an 87.8 passer rating on the season by throwing for 3,644 yards with 18 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
