Big right-hander Jimmy Nelson (2-3) will be making his seventh start of the year for the Milwaukee Brewers when they face Zack Greinke (12-8) and the Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday night.

Jimmy Nelson ended up going six innings against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday and came away with the loss despite pitching pretty well in the game. He gave up two runs on eight base hits in that game while walking one and striking out three. Through six starts this season, Nelson now has a 4.00 ERA and he has struck out 30 batters in 36 innings of work.

In that game on Sunday, Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzalez had one hit in two at-bats against Nelson with a double and an RBI. Catcher A.J. Ellis was 0-for-3 against him in the game with a strikeout.

Right-hander Zack Greinke lost his second game in a row last Saturday when he was defeated by the Milwaukee Brewers on the road. He went six innings in that start and gave up four earned runs on eight base hits while striking out six and walking one. Greinke still has a very good 2.84 ERA this year and he has struck out 164 batters in 152.1 innings.

Brewers veteran Lyle Overbay has nine hits in 26 at-bats against Greinke with a double, three home runs and eight RBI. Ryan Braun is just 1-for-5 against him with two walks and an RBI.
