The tough rushing attack of the Miami Dolphins (6-5) will be facing the struggling defense of the New York Jets (2-9) on Monday night. During the 2013 season, the Dolphins and the Jets split their two-game regular season series.

The Dolphins gave up 22 fourth-quarter points to the Denver Broncos last Sunday and lost 39-36. They had just 33 total yards in that loss, and their defense allowed the Broncos to rush for 201 yards against them.

Through their first 11 games, the Dolphins have the fourth-best defense against the pass by only allowing opposing offenses to throw for 211.7 yards per game against them. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill has a pretty good 93.4 passer rating this season by throwing for 2,582 yards with 20 touchdowns and just eight interceptions.

The Jets played poorly on both sides of the ball in their game against the Buffalo Bills on Monday night and were blown out 38-3. They finished that game with only 218 yards of offenses, including just 126 yards through the air.

The Jets currently have one of the worst scoring offenses in the NFL by averaging just 16.1 points per game. Quarterback Geno Smith, who just got his starting job back, has thrown for 1,459 yards this season with seven touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
