On Sunday afternoon, the Kansas City Chiefs (2-3) and the San Diego Chargers (5-1) will face each other in a game that will feature two of the better pass defenses in the league. The Chargers beat the Chiefs in both of their games against each other last season.

In their last game, the Chiefs were only able to put up 265 yards against the San Francisco 49ers and ended up losing 22-17. They only had 158 passing yards in that loss and their defense was unable to force any turnovers.

The Chiefs are rushing for 137.6 yards per game, but their passing game is near the bottom of the league with just 197.4 yards per game. Quarterback Alex Smith has thrown for 1,049 yards with eight touchdown passes and four interceptions this season. Linebacker Justin Houston has 19 tackles, six sacks and one forced fumble.

The Chargers were able to win their fifth game in a row on Sunday by squeaking out a 31-28 victory over the Oakland Raiders. San Diego had 423 total yards in that game and their offense had zero turnovers.

The Chargers are currently seventh in the NFL with 27.3 points per game while their defense is second in the league with just 15.2 points given up per game. Veteran Philip Rivers has clearly been the best quarterback in the league to this point by completing 69.3 percent of his passes for 1,756 yards, 15 touchdowns and only two picks.
