In week 1, the Jacksonville Jaguars looked to be a team that was ready to pull off the upset. They were leading the Philadelphia Eagles 17-0, but couldn’t hold the lead and eventually lost 34-17. The Jaguars will travel to Washington to take on the Redskins at FedEx Field. The Redskins had a terrible performance in the opening week, losing 17-6 to the Houston Texans in a game where the Texans did a great job of shutting them down. Both teams play in close divisions and could ill-afford to start 0-2.

Chad Henne, the veteran quarterback, had a solid week 1 performance, throwing for 266 yards and 2 touchdowns. He finished the game with an 89.9 QB rating and will look to fight off Blake Bortles from taking over the starting position. Part of why the Jaguars were unable to get the win a week ago was their inability to run the ball. Toby Gerhart ran for just 42 yards on 18 touches. In the receiving game, Allen Hurns made 4 catches for 110 yards and 2 touchdowns, Marqise Lee made 6 catches for 62 yards, and Mike Brown made 3 catches for 36 yards.

The Redskins will look to get their offense rolling along behind the arm and legs of Robert Griffin III. RG3 passed for 267 yards, but failed to throw a touchdown and was sacked 3 times. He didn’t play terribly, finishing with a QB rating of 96.7, but in typical fashion, struggled to get them Redskins in a position to win. In the rushing attack, Alfred Morris ran for 91 yards on 14 carries and Roy Helu added 46 yards on 4 touches. Pierre Garcon led the team in catches with 10, good for 77 yards, and Niles Paul made 4 catches for 86 yards.
