Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia

In week 1 of the 2014 National Football League regular season, the Philadelphia Eagles will welcome the Jacksonville Jaguars to Lincoln Financial Field. This team pits the Jaguars who finished 4-12 a year ago and finished third in the American Football Conference South division against the National Football Conference East division champion Philadelphia Eagles, who finished 10-6 a year ago and was knocked out in the Wild Card round by the New Orleans Saints.

The Jaguars have tried to build their team to make the playoffs for the first time since 2007, but haven’t filled their roster enough to compete with the other talent-filled rosters in the conference. At quarterback, the team is relying on the veteran and youth duo of Chad Henne and Blake Bortles to lead them to victory. In their last preseason game, Bortles played well and showed he was most deserving of the chance to start. At running back, the team doesn’t have a superstar like the Eagles, but have talent from players like Toby Gerhart and Denard Robinson. The team also has one of the top young wide receivers in the sport in Cecil Shorts III, who made a major impression on the football world a year ago.

For the Eagles, the Chip Kelly coached squad has one of the most talented rosters in the sport. Led by Nick Foles at quarterback, the Eagles offense has a lot of speed and skill that make them one of the most feared teams in the sport. In addition to Foles, who became a star a year ago, the team also has a top-five running back in LeSean McCoy and added Darren Sproles, who should fit into their offensive scheme perfectly. At the wide receiver position, they lost DeSean Jackson, but still have Jeremy Maclin and Riley Cooper on the roster for big plays.
