Sunday afternoon, the Houston Texans visit Everbank Field to face the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Houston Texans had one of their best games ever last week as they beat the Tennessee Titans 45 – 21.  The 45 points was a team record for the Texans and was a result of a complete effort from the offense and the defense. Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick threw for 6 touchdowns and set a new franchise mark. Houston led 24 – 0 and the half and were never really threatened by the Titans thanks to J.J. Watt and the Texan defense. Watt not only had 2 sacks and a forced and recovered fumble, he also caught one of Fitzpatrick’s touchdown passes. Had the Texans played this well earlier in the season, they might have had a better record than their current 6 - 6. They have a chance to win at least 2 of their remaining 4 games as they play the Jaguars twice.

The Jacksonville Jaguars turned in a solid performance of their own last week as they rallied to beat the New York Giants 25 - 24. But make no mistake; the Jaguars still aren’t a good team.  The come from behind win ended a 4 game losing streak but the win was just their 2nd on the year. Even with their best effort on Sunday, it will be a tall task to beat the Texans. But coming back from a 21 point deficit can build character in a team and that might serve them the rest of the way and next season if they let it.
