The Detroit Lions (11-5) will have to face on of the hottest team in the league in their Wild Card game when they visit the Dallas Cowboys (12-4) on Sunday. The Lions came in second place in the NFC North this year, while the Cowboys were able to run away with the NFC East crown.

During the regular season, the Lions only lost two games in a row once and they had multiple four-game winning streaks, including one that was snapped by the Green Bay Packers in their final game. They lost that last game to the Packers 30-20 on the road, which cost them the NFC North title.

The Lions' offense was a bit inconsistent this season, but their defense finished as the best against the rush and only gave up 17.6 points per game. Quarterback Matthew Stafford completed 60.3 percent of his passes this season for 4,257 yards, 22 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.

The Cowboys used a 6-1 start to the season to jump out into the lead in the NFC East, then finished on a four-game winning streak to secure it. In their Week 17 game against the Washington Redskins, they scored 27 first-half points and rolled to a 44-17 road win.

Dallas' offense has been very good this year, averaging nearly 30 points per game. Quarterback Tony Romo has had his best season as a pro by throwing for 3,705 yards with 34 touchdown passes and just nine interceptions.
