On Sunday afternoon, the Detroit Lions (10-4) will be going for their fourth win in a row when they face the Chicago Bears (5-9). In their first meeting of the season, the Lions defeated the Bears 34-17 at home.

The Lions kept their hot streak going last Sunday when they edged the Minnesota Vikings 16-14 at home. They won that game despite being outgained 360-233 and converting on just two of their 11 third down opportunities.

Through 14 games, the Lions have had the best defense against the run by only giving up 63.8 rushing yards per game. Quarterback Matthew Stafford has completed 61.5 percent of his passes this season and has 3,797 yards, 19 touchdown passes and 10 interceptions. Wide receiver Golden Tate has caught a team-high 91 passes for 1,224 yards and four touchdowns.

The Bears lost their third game in a row on Monday night when the New Orleans Saints blew them out 31-15 in Chicago. The Bears had three turnovers in that loss and only ended up gaining a total of 278 yards.

Through 14 games this season, the Bears have the lowest-rated defense in the NFL by giving up 29.2 points per game. Quarterback Jay Cutler has an 89.5 passer rating on the year by throwing for 3,640 yards with 28 touchdowns and 18 interceptions. Wide receiver Alshon Jeffery has caught 77 passes this year for a team-high 1,027 yards and nine touchdowns.
