Sunday afternoon, the Denver Broncos will travel to the Edward Jones Dome to face the St. Louis Rams.

The Denver Broncos started their last game against the Oakland Raiders poorly by Denver standards but they got back on track late in the game and took a 41 - 17 victory. Denver wasn't expected to have any trouble with Oakland but the Raiders stayed close and were up 10 - 6 midway through the 2^nd quarter. But the dream of ending a 14 game losing streak ended as the Broncos regained their form. Two touchdowns in about 2 minutes put the Broncos up 20 - 10 and they never looked back. Denver added 21 unanswered points in the 3^rd to complete their comeback. Denver might have taken the Raiders lightly and they shouldn't do the same thing against the lowly St. Louis Rams.

The St. Louis Rams also had dreams of an upset in their last game dashed by their opponent's late game heroics. St. Louis saw a 14 -10 lead at the half disappear as they lost 31 - 14 to the Arizona Cardinals. Everything seemed to be going the Rams' way. They were leading when the Cardinals' quarterback Carson Palmer went down with a left knee injury. But Arizona's backup QB Drew Stanton took over and shocked the Rams with the late comeback. The Rams probably won't get the same opportunities to pull off an upset against the Broncos that they got against the Cardinals. Denver almost got beat by a lesser team and they won't get in that position again.
